Parkville Rotary Anniversary

The Parkville Rotary Club was formed March 26th, 1946 under the sponsorship of the Kansas City Club.  Parkville Rotary has enjoyed a long-standing relationship with Park University. All Park College/University presidents have been members of the Parkville Rotary Club. The University is also home to the Rotary Clubs Archive and Museum.  Our club has completed numerous years of service in Rotary International District 6040 in serving Parkville and communities across the world.  Our deepest appreciation goes to the original founding members and to all those who have served and are currently serving. Rotary is the only organization which has a global footprint and is working towards happy communities across the world with its noble initiatives:  Disease Prevention and Treatment, Water, Sanitation and Hygiene, Maternal and Child Health, Basic Education and Literacy, Community Economic Develpment, The Environment and Peacebuilding and Conflict Prevention.   Rotary Clubs across the world execute service projects worth 2 billion dollars every year in their communities.  Rotarians give 25 million volunteer hours to their communities across the world every year.
